Dennis Hauger has officially secured a multi-year agreement with AJ Foyt Racing to drive the No. 14 Chevrolet beginning in the 2027 season. Fresh off being named the 2026 IndyCar Rookie of the Year, the 23-year-old Norwegian driver will step into the seat previously occupied by Santino Ferrucci.

"Dennis has accomplished a lot for someone who is only 23," said AJ Foyt Racing Team President Larry Foyt. "Every time he's moved into something new, he's adapted quickly and he's won."

Hauger's rapid ascent in American open-wheel racing includes capturing the IndyNXT crown in his first U.S. campaign before making a seamless transition to the NTT IndyCar Series. His impressive performances consistently caught the attention of the Foyt organization as they plan for future grid competitiveness.

"This team has so much history in this sport, but what intrigues me even more was hearing about the future and what they're building now," Hauger stated regarding his upcoming transition.

AJ Foyt Racing's signing of Dennis Hauger marks a significant strategic pivot as the legendary team prepares for the 2027 IndyCar championship grid. While Hauger steps into the flagship No. 14 entry backed by Homes For Our Troops, team management opted not to renew rookie Caio Collet's contract.

Larry Foyt emphasized that the team is actively investing across all fronts, including technical infrastructure and commercial programs, to sustain their upward momentum. "We've spent a lot of time talking about where we want this team to go," Foyt explained, highlighting the importance of strategic partnerships.

The broader IndyCar driver market continues to experience intense movement alongside Hauger's announcement, with multiple veteran driver shifts reshaping rosters across top-tier stables. Teams such as Chip Ganassi Racing, Arrow McLaren, and Meyer Shank Racing have all finalized high-profile adjustments for the upcoming racing calendar.

As testing and preparation windows approach, Hauger remains focused on maximizing his growth. "I've learned a lot in my first two years racing in America, but I still feel like there is a lot more for me to learn and accomplish in IndyCar," he concluded.
