Alpine has secured the services of former Mercedes technical chief Mike Elliott as its new Chief Technical Officer, marking a major coup for the Enstone-based Formula 1 outfit as it looks to accelerate its progression up the grid.
The 52-year-old Briton returns to Enstone in a newly created CTO role, where he will oversee all technical and engineering functions at the factory, bringing a wealth of championship-winning experience from his distinguished career.
