Built upon the lengthened chassis of a classic Peterbilt 359, the truck required seven years of meticulous development and millions of dollars in investments. Every detail was custom-tailored, transforming a standard commercial tractor into an astonishing piece of motorized art.

The vehicle gained worldwide fame in 2019 when it was featured at a Worldwide Auctioneers event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, fetching a record-breaking 12 million dollars, which translates to roughly 11 million euros. Despite being sold abroad, the heavy machine remains safely housed in Arizona where it was assembled.

Beyond its staggering valuation, the truck's aesthetic and mechanical presentation is second to none, featuring extensive chrome, polished aluminum, and custom styling inspired by the Norse god of thunder.

Inside the Colossal V24 Engine and Performance

Underneath its elongated hood, Thor 24 houses a custom-mated V24 engine displacing 27.9 liters, formed by combining two Detroit Diesel V12 two-stroke powerplants face to face. This monstrous configuration is paired with an Allison HT740 automatic transmission designed for extreme industrial demands.

Assisted by twelve Detroit mechanical blowers and nitrous oxide bottles, the powertrain generates an advertised output of nearly 4000 horsepower, allowing the heavy rig to reach speeds of up to 210 kilometers per hour.

Stopping a 14.5-tonne machine traveling at such speeds requires serious hardware, which includes four 12-foot dragster parachutes alongside a heavily upgraded braking system.

The interior matches the exterior extravagance, featuring twenty-four dashboard instruments, a sword-shaped gear shifter, multiple video screens, and a high-powered audio setup capable of filling any venue with concert-grade sound.
