Arena Motorsport stands as one of the most versatile and resilient independent racing operations in modern British motorsport history. Founded by Mike Earle after his time running the Onyx Formula One team, the Littlehampton-based squad carved out a remarkable legacy across touring cars, sports car racing, and international single-seaters before financial pressures forced its closure at the end of 2012.
"The team made their racing debut in the British Touring Car Championship in 1999, where they ran for many years before moving to become a factory-supported Zytek sports car team in the Le Mans Series in 2007," recalls the team's historical development through decades of competitive evolution. Their early years featured challenges with Renault machinery before a watershed partnership with Honda brought championship contention.
