Score Result Lazio vs Genoa, Frattesi Secures Narrow Win

Lazio secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Genoa in Serie A action at a largely deserted Stadio Olimpico, where home fans continued their ongoing boycott against club leadership. Davide Frattesi emerged as the hero once again for the Biancocelesti, netting the decisive goal to claim their second league win of the season.

Facing a severe injury crisis that sidelined key players such as Patric, Alessio Romagnoli, and Danilo Cataldi, manager Gennaro Gattuso handed Frattesi his first start. The tactical adjustment paid off immediately as the midfielder capitalized on a swift attacking sequence down the left flank.

Nuno Tavares broke free down the left channel and pulled the ball back into the danger zone, allowing Frattesi to slot home cleanly from ten yards out in the twenty-fifth minute. The pair combined dangerously throughout the match, with Frattesi later setting up Tavares for a header that crashed against the far post.

Lazio's injury concerns deepened during the encounter when midfielder Nicolò Rovella suffered a sudden calf problem, forcing an early substitution with Reda Belahyane. Despite the mounting physical toll and a lack of atmosphere in the stands, the hosts managed to preserve their slender advantage.

Late Drama and Debutants Shape Match Outcome

Genoa pushed for an equalizer in the second half, with substitute Franz-Ethan Meichtry and Morten Frendrup both coming close to scoring. However, defensive blocks from Danilho Doekhi and a crucial stoppage-time save by goalkeeper Mandas ensured Lazio secured all three points.

New arrival Andrea Pinamonti made his highly anticipated debut for Lazio in the closing minutes of the game, nearly capping his appearance with a brilliant turn and shot that grazed the upright.

Genoa struggled to find fluency in the final third despite the inclusion of new signing Milutin Osmajic in the matchday squad following his transfer from Preston North End. The visitors missed multiple golden opportunities, notably when two players failed to connect with a dangerous cross from Brooke Norton-Cuffy at the back post.

Vitinha also tested the Lazio defense but found his efforts thwarted by resolute defending, highlighting Genoa's ongoing difficulties in converting scoring chances away from home.
